벌통

벌통은 주로 나무로 만들지만 옹기로 제작된 벌통은 희귀한 유물이다.

둥근 받침대 위에 긴 원통을 올리고 짚으로 만든 고깔을 씌운 형태이다.

꿀벌은 둥근 받침대 양쪽의 뚫린 구멍을 통해 들어가 원통 내벽에 꿀을 저장한다.

원통은 분리할 수 있어 꿀이 차면 새로운 빈 원통으로 교체해 꿀을 수확하였다.

This type of beehive consists of a long cylindrical vessel placed on a rounded base and covered with a conical straw lid.

Honeybees enter through openings on both sides of the base and store honey along the inner walls of the cylinder.

The cylindrical section is detachable, allowing it to be replaced with an empty one when filled, thereby enabling the collection of honey.
